It's a beautiful day, so I'm shifting between getting some sun in the backyard, and playing my Dreamcast.

Sega Marine Fishing is just such a fun game. It's gorgeous as well. It takes the first Sega Bass Fishing and goes into a more fun route. Better and more beautiful locales, bigger variety of fish....outstanding! Sega Bass Fishing 2 is a terrible, terrible game. Goes for realism and forgets the fun.

Certain games like this one, Crazy Taxi, HoTD2, Powerstone, VF3, Marvel vs Capcom 1 and 2, etc.....they never get old. And given the right equipment they look great on an HDTV.

Back to the subject, I've been to Virgin Islands and Tahiti/Moorea and Sega Marine Fishing always helps me to return there. There is an aesthetic to this game that few other games can achieve. The drums of the Fishing Port are just phenomenal.

Sega might still have some magic left in them, if they would simply surrender trying to be something they are not. I would love for Sega to bring Sega Bass Fishing and Sega Marine Fishing out on NextGen. Hell, it would make a phenomenal DS or PSP game. C'mon Sega, bring back the magic to consoles/portables. Dreamcast on a chip is genius and so far completely neglected.

I played the first Bass Fishing Game, but I never played Sega Marine Fishing... I actually thought about buying it, Bass Fishing, not too long ago because I found it pretty cheap. I still might.

The only problem I have with Marine Fishing is the over excited Japanese electronic music. I also recall that you can't turn it off in the options menu.

I thought Marine was the weakest inthe series, but it was still fun (Nothing to GetBass, and I just love that music to that game).

I loved GetBass II as well, that for me is the best sim of the sport I've played

Don't. It's god awful. Don't say I never warned you. It is not so much a game as it is a torture device. :pirate:

Despite the fact you actually posted in the thread twice, it was from March, so it was a while back we talked about it.

But that's cool that you brought it up. Did anybody actually order it? I didn't.

I know, but that very link for the pack was mentioned in that (now this) thread. See the sixth post by segadc:
