One thing I certainly have to EA credit for. They are sure as hell working the mess out of the free demo section of Marketplace. I don't think any other publisher out there is realizing the potentiality that Marketplace offers in terms of promotional opportunity for their software, the way EA seems to. They've really jumped on the idea with a fury.

Now let's see if other publishers will get off their asses and follow suit.

Just played about 10 minutes of the fightnight , LETS JUST SAY IT IS FRIGGIN INSANE. My only gripe is that its a little slow for a boxing game, granted its a demo. The graffix are completely unbelievable. Games like these are why I bought my 360

I too have noticed how EA is forthcoming with the demos. Why aren't the other devs doing this? they are too slow and it shows one more reason why EA is one of the top dogs in the market.

Not only with demos, but with themes and gamer pictures. If every developer released content like this, it would be insane! My wife is playing Zuma right now, but I'll download it as soon as I can kick her off. B)

No kidding.
And the slowest dev to realize this seems to be Microsoft Game Studios.
I mean, we should be getting demos to more of their future titles by now, especially Japanese games like Ninety Nine Nights. What better way to advertise and get interest for a title such as this than through their Marketplace and the downloading of free demos??

P.S. My hubby's downloading this Fight Night Demo right now....and BOY is it slooow.

You'd think this would be a major tool that developers could use- especially to hype a game that's going to or already on store shelves. Creating a demo that works before the game is done is much more difficult- but once the game is complete to create a single level demo is not all that bad.

All this makes me wonder- if they fixed the d/l speed and gave us bigger HDrives...could they provide rentals? ie: $5 to d/l an on demand game for 5 days? Afterwards when you power on- the game deletes itself but you keep the gamesave?

The possibilities are endless- But M$ needs to address the HD size issue and definitely speed up the d/l speeds.

Agreed.
The download speeds are painfully slow.

There is a new video available for download that deals with the subject of networking your X360 with your Media Center PC. I think it does a good job of explaining the process in user-friendly terms and gives some good pointers on what to do and not to do in order to get the best setup possible.

Also, I've heard rumors that a new Full Auto demo will be available on Wednesday.

Newer. But again, this just a rumor I've seen bouncing around the Internets.
