When something new and noteworthy is added to the marketplace I will update this thread, Feel free to beat me to it if you can. Posted Image

So far it looks like EA is the only one on the ball with releasing demos via the marketplace as they have already made NFS Most Wanted, NBA Live and Madden available. Of course these is the Kameo demo from MS, but I would think they would want to release demos for Perfect Dark Zero and Project Goth Racing as well...

Honestly, you would think that on day one, there would be demos for every launch title available on marketplace. Demos are the best form of advertisement to encourage gamers to purchase your games - especially if they are sitting on the fence.

Hopefully in the very near future, dropping demos on marketplace in the weeks prior to a game's release will become standard operating procedure for every publisher.

I tell ya, if that day comes, the days of relying on game reviews and rentals to make a semi-educated choice on what to purchase and what not to purchase, are numbered (for X360 users with a broadband connection of course).

Imagine getting the demo in even before the first reviews start showing up online? As long as the demo is based on a relatively close to complete build of the game, that'll really be all any gamer needs to decide whether to take the $60 plunge on a title.

I'm with you Core. Reviews can be helpful, but I'd prefer to play a game myself before dropping $50 - $60 on it.

Another cool thing that might come about thanks to Xbox Live - No more waiting for the latest demo disc to arive in the mail. Once the next big multiplayer demo hits the marketplace, everyone will be able to jump online, download it and start playing online ASAP. :punk:

Anyway, the X-Men 3 Teaster Trailer (480P and 720P versions) is now available in the marketplace. There's also a new Ridge Racer 6 trailer, but it's nothing speecial; mostly gameplay footage set to techno music.

Quake 4 demo has been released to the marketplace.

And in case you missed the other thread, a Condemned demo is also available.

I actually have the original coupon but I've heard on other forums that it works just the same...:D

just remember that you cant combine coupons. If you plan on buying 2 or more games, after getting one game, put that in your car, go back, get the next game and use the next coupon...lol
or just go to another bestbuy or at a different day.

and if you need to get a videogame accessory, print this coupon out too :D

How expensive are the demos? I might consider a game demo for under 5 bucks, but anything more than tha would be sheer nuttiness.

Nice! This gets double-plus thumbs up from me. This is what I always wanted in games - some form of free trial. I'm sure I would have a good chunk more games now if this would be available on other platforms.

There is so much free content in the Market place that it is not even funny. I love it when new demos come out as you can try the games out. Also you can demo all of the Xbox Live Arcade games to see if you want to really buy them.

Pay for demos?! Are you crazy? They're free of course.
